watched eyes wide shut the other night but missed the first 45 mins, however watched the rest and thought it was brill, if only i knew actually what was going on, can anyone explain?

Er, even if you'd watched it all it still doesn't make sense. I haven't seen it for a couple of years but I think at the end you're left wondering if it was real or all in Tom Cruise's imagination (well his character's imagination).
