Why Won't A Converted MPG Video Play On A Video Ipod?

I Downloaded a 'mpg' video and imported it onto my itunes, I then Converted it so it would play on my video ipod.
I Uploaded My Ipod, the video is on it, but there isnt any volume, it will play but i can hear anything.
Why is that?

That video is muxed video( the video track and audio track of muxed video is on the track), itunes can't convert such format. you need a professional video converter, like wondershare video to ipod converter, it is able to convert such videos.

Don't use iTunes to convert video to iPod, because iTunes cannot convert muxed video (muxed video means the audio and video are on the same track), muxed video converted by iTunes will lost the sound. I always use Cucusoft to convert DVD movie and video to MP4 for my iPod, it works perfect, here is a step by step guide about it
