music formats purchases

As the formats for listening to music continue to change I would welcome hearing what three albums AnswerBank fans bought in LP format, CD cformat and now in iTunes download (complete album).
I am about to download my first full album on iTunes. It is "Neon Bible" by The Arcade Fire.
The first ever CD I bought was "Desire" by Bob Dylan...will never tire of its tales. The first LP disc I bought was "Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison"....whose time has come around again.

My first CD, I'm ashamed to say, was Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette.
And I will never ever buy an MP3.
I'd much rather buy the CD so I have it forever (ish) and I'm not stuck with low quality DRM riddled cr@p. I can rip it at whatever quality I like as often as I like and play it on whatever I like.

I think my first LP album was 'Marquee Moon' by Television. I know my Mum wouldn't let me buy The Sex Pistols album, but I was under ten, so it's not surprising. I ruined any credibility I had earned with LP's by purchasing a Thompson Twins album as my first CD. My first download was quite recent and was The Killers. Like you, starmack, I've just downloaded 'Neon Bible' by The Arcade Fire. It's absolutely brilliant! I adore 'Intervention'.
Hi Suffragette
I think that "Neon Bible" marks the beginning of end of CD era in the way that Dire Straits "Brothers In Arms" album marked the start of the era. Cannot find a track to dislike. Love the YouTube video at Rock en Seine for "No Cars Go," my favourite track, but "Building Downtown (AntiChrist Television Blues)" and "Ocean of Noise" are also tracks on which I'm hooked with repeat plays.
Tom Verlaine and Marquee Moon was a great start to the CD collection. It still is great music. Im gonna chase down the track "Prove It.". Bought the Sex Pistols in every format, including iTunes. "Who Killed Bamb,i" their version and the tribute version each sound great in earphones!
The Thompson Twins isnt a hanging offence any longer but it was then!
