Has anyone got any ideas, for buffet food ....anything that won't go soggy after a hour or so, does anyone know if filo pastry keeps as a party food, I would like to do something different from the usual, quiche c/beef pie s/rolls etc. Thank you
fresh figs cut open in a cross -shape cut (base intact), stuffed with a little mild goat's cheese, a thin slice of parma ham on top and a drizzle of clear honey.
Thin sliced brown bread with the crusts cut off, spread with cream cheese then put on a thin slice of smoked salmon. Roll the bread up and cut into pinwheels.
Hi malron,
I usually do 1 or 2 trays of fresh fruit in bite size pieces.Pineapple, melon, mandarin or satsuma segments, strawberries, red and green grapes.I don't use apples pears or plums as they tend to go brown.Arrange them in line, looks really effective or in circles if using round tray. Takes a bit of time and patience but worth it in the end.
Val.
