I know this will attract some weird responses, but I hope some people will answer genuinely - as I am currently doing research into establishing a link between sleep positions and personality traits.
Four questions:
1. What position do you sleep (i.e. on back, on left side, foetal, on front)
2. Are you generally an introvert or extrovert
3. are you generally a happy person.
4. Are you a confident person in your work and home life
I'd really appreciate sensible answers, but the funny replies are welcome too, to make me smile
Any ideas about the urge to turn over when trying to sleep? I have tried to resist it but get upset if I do. Also I find I have turned over without realising it.
I have become far less worried as I've got older about lack of sleep and this in turn means I don't lay awake like I used to worrying about not being able to get to sleep!! Make sense?
1. I generally sleep on my right side with the covers hooked up under my arm near my head and with the quilt in between my legs and they are usually raised to a semi foetal position. I generally wake covered up fully and on eith my left side or my back. I always wake in the night and have done since I was a child.
2. Extrovert, Im a big flirt and quite loud. Very outspoken.
3. No
4. I am mostly confident, I do have days where I need to blend into the background
Should have mentioned I do and have suffered with depression for most of my life. But I am not medicated any more. Dont know if that makes a difference.
1/ Generally on my front, with arms bracing the pillow and right knee drawn up.
2/ Introvert
3/ No (depression)
4/ Confident in work life, shy in personal life. I look and seem very confident, but most of the time, I'm not.
1. I sleep on my left side, semi foetal with my left arm cushioning my head but almost always wake up on my right side.
2. More extrovert than introvert
3. Generally fairly happy
4. Yes, fairly confident in work and home life.
(I'm a lousy sleeper, always have been since a baby - I wake up a lot in the night and find it difficult to get back to sleep.)
