thanks for the link squarebear but i can,t get on to chatterbank links, i can get onto the first page but not the links to read the answers, i think i may be banned , i am not sure how it works but i had a pop at legbend and nobby nn on the 28th of june and have not been able to use it since.

It's because some clown has joined up with usernames that have special characters in the like < b > . to make things bold.

Is that why everything in the recent posts bit is itallic, bold and underlined? It's annoying!

The browser displays a whole page. If a format is switched ON, e.g. bold, then everything else on that page is displayed in bold until the format is switched OFF. Sometimes it isn't. Hence page displays change from moment to moment as the content changes. Just because a post appears bold/underlined does not imply that it was that post caused it. A minor irritation, but one that will go on and on and on.....

people post something (eg their username) in bold or italic then forget to switch it off; result: everything on that page appears in bold or italic after the first word. But as that thread works its way down the page it will vanish eventually until someone answers, then it returns to the top.
