Puppy's 1st Birthday

Next month it will be our puppys (Border Collie's) first birthday.

Do you have any suggestions how we should celebrate this?

Friends of mine celebrated their Mini Schnauzer's second birthday by hiring a hall and inviting friends to a party. They had a doggie birthday cake bought at Crufts, and had games and competitions which people paid a small fee to enter. All money raised was sent to Schnauzer rescue. People did not mind paying as they had lots of food and drink provided and they could all bring their dogs and had a great day out..

take her for a great day out, treat her a nice meal and buy her a great toy?

I know peeps love there animals me included but will the dog know its it birfday doubt it lol!!!!

Jack (our pup) won't know its his birthday but it still will be fun to celebrate it with him, he is like our baby - I know that sounds sad, but its true!

I was thinking of maybe taking him to the beach with a frisbee (he's nuts about frisbee's!!) and maybe a sumptious dinner. i know you can get cakes for dogs but nowhere local sells them. any other suggestions in place of a cake?

I feel so guilty now - Poor Pickles was one last September 5th and she was spayed on that day.

I think we need to celebrate big time this year!!
