Not sure what you are on about. What kind of work are you trained in, are there no jobs going that don't require shifts? What kind of 'others' are you looking at?

You don't need experience to work at Tesco or Asda...
Question Author
yes i know but they still require you to work shifts
Well plenty of other people with children manage - many of them do shifts that fit around school / childcare. Have you actually applied for any jobs and explained?

yes of coursei have i have gone in with agencies aswell but they carnt any hours for me and im so desparate to get into to work
I also work as a care assistant and am having the same problem, i dont want to work split shifts anymore but i still want to stay in the care environment. been looking on the nhs jobs website theres some good jobs on there sometimes but you'll need the qualifications or experience again.
You could go part time in a nursing home, some of the larger companies are more flexible with the hours. where I work you can do 16hours and baisically fit it all in where you want. Then you could and ask to do your nvqs.
