What do you think is the most exciting moment of any record you know? <br /> <br /> Not the whole song, just one moment when the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, and you feel your stomach go over - <br /> <br /> for me, it's the wind-up to the guitar solo in Billy Idol's 'Rebel Yell', surely one of THE most exiting records ever made, but when Billy whoops off-beat, and then again off-beat to signalthe arrival of Stevie Stevens' molton guitar solo, it makes what hair i have left stand up and dance on its own!!! <br /> <br /> Over to you - beat that ...

In the 1970's The Seekers recorded a song called I'll Never Find Another You.

The producers left Judith Durham to sing the second verse on her own. If you ever listen to it, you will hear one of the clearest, most perfect (and underrated) voices ever put on record.

It's 30 seconds of the song that sends shivers down my spine every time I hear it.

The Burt Bacharach/Hal David song "Close to You", sung by Karen Carpenter, the opening is brilliant as is John Denver�s Annie's Song the start of the second verse "Come let me love you, Let me give my life to you, Let me drown in your laughter" always gets to me.

4.35 mins into "Gl�s�li" - Takk by Sigur Ros (but you have to listen to all of it)

7.50 mins into "Vidrar Vel Til Loftarasa" - Agaetis Byrjun also by Sigur Ros but listen to all of it..

Clare Torry's vocals on "The Great Gig In The Sky" - Dark Side Of The Moon, although Jo Maloney from tribute band Pink Fraud performs it far far better IMO.

I know it's not a record as such, more of an event, but it made the "hairs on the back of my neck stand up" more than anything, was Live 8 when Roger Waters and the rest of Pink Floyd performed on stage together.
