can a computer shop fix it.... Possibly

How much will it cost.... How long is a piece of string?

It depends how it has broken, it may just be that the screw(s) that hold the hinge in has come out meaning a cheap and easy repair, or it might be something has snapped, meaning a possible tricky and expensive repair
DEpending on if you have a popular model, if the hinge has snapped off the casing it could be very expensive. Have a look around first and see if you can find a cheap identical one to yours with a cooked motherboard or other expensive malfunction, you can then change your inerts to the good casing.
