Just joined friends re-united saw a advert on the telly thought ok its free, give it a go was looking for a old mate from the forces, tried there site no joy, well so excited she has posted on there, after 30+ years please please i hope she gets back to me!!!

I mailed her a couple of weeks ago and yesterday morning she got in touch and hey presto, we have some catching up to do tomorrow night. This is the second friend ive got in touch with through that site, the other i hadnt seen for 19 years, we speak regularly now. Good eh?

cant agree there legend, circumstance and getting on with our lives mean we often lost touch with someone. Just the way life is but its not a bad thing to get in touch and have a blast from the past.

How many people do you know who you just dont get round to calling and then time ticks by and before you know it, a year or so has passed and then you dont like to get in touch because you feel bad for not contacting them sooner without a bloody good excuse as to why you havent been in touch.

My husband was contacted by and old schoolfriend through friendsreunited and they ended up talikng on the phone last week. This friend now lives in LA and they haven't seen each other for about 40 years.

The joy of t'internet is it is quite easy to get in touch with former "old pals".
Only last week two people i was at junior school , in the late 1800's ,got in touch.

Legend I don't know why you address me in your comment as my comment wasn't a response to yours or anyone elses. I've only ever known women to complain, bitch and back stap their girlfriends so I think it's true that women don't have friends, they have acquaintences that they need for whatever reason.

circumstances can cause you to lose friends, I have got back in contact with some former school friends, as a child you have no control on your life so to speak and when you move school and house its hard to get in contact, there was no internet, mobiles and barely land lines!, most parents did not treat your friendships with old school friends as they assume you will move on and make new friends. Its great to get back in touch!

More likely to find people on Facebook or there is a website specifically for armed forces reunions etc, sorry, but can't remember the name.
