Incorrect Postal Address

When shopping for items which require the shop to pull up my address by inputting my post code there is an error in the address.
Who is responsible for this information and how can I get it corrected?
Thank you in advance for any help.

Well the Royal mail are responsible for postcodes, so I'd try there first.

http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm

there you can check your post code and see what they have you as listed.
Your address and Post Code are assigned by the Post Office. It is more likely that you have the incorrect Post Code.

Check here

If the resulting post code is not the one attached to your Credit Card, then you may have to get a new card.

Sorted! Thanks both.
Additional to this. If you don't want to put your postcode in when prompted when registering on sites, type in ZZ99 9ZZ. It's an old trick I've used for years.
