What needs to be dismantled and how to change a damaged drive belt on the Quadtrack 30 lawnmower? The screws heads are clogged with dirt making virtually impossible to get a grip to turn them.

drill the screw heads off, once the side plate comes off you can get a pair of pliars or molegrips on the remaining screw to remove them.

changing the belt if very easy.

Many thanks rugeleyboy. I'm not that technically minded. If I drill out the screws, how do I fix the plate after refitting the drive belt?
use an " impact driver " to loosen the screws.
if they are cross head and have 'rounded off' try sawing a slot in the head and use a flat 'driver. and WD40

Very many thanks you guys. My trouble is, I don't have very much patience, but persistance and a few swear words I do have, and I have managed to to insert the drive and get it working.
you would have to get 2 new screws, they will cost about 10p.

i dont think you can get into it with a hack saw can you? but an impact screwdiver is good if it works?

Thanks rugeleyboy! Everything is up and running. With a can of Plus Gas and a few swears words, it now works like a dream.
