For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.connect the video to the dvd recorder via a scart cable. from vcr's scart socket to dvd recorder's input scart.
Then on your dvd deck, select position AV or EXT to view the video through your dvd recorder.
If the dvd recorder has only 1 scart socket then you will need to use coax cable (RF out to tv aerial in) and tune the tv in to the dvd deck to be able to see what you are doing.
another tip: disable the vcr's on screen display if pss, so you don't get things like the video's tape counter or messages like "Play", "tracking " "stereo" etc flashing up on your copies.
