Im trying to upload videos with a .MOV file format but movie maker says .MOV 'is not a supported file type, and it cannot be imported into Windows Movie Maker.'
Can i change the film format to something that wmm WILL accept?
Please, before i rip my hair out!

If you open Windows movie maker and then use the menu on the left to "Import video" that will work better than right-clicking on the file with Windows movie maker already open.

I dont know if i can trust downloads sorry =/

I have tried tricking WMM by just typing a different format but it didn't fall for it and just said there was an error.

I cant believe i took all that film for nothing _
MOV format files are mainly supported by Apple and the Quicktime program.

So for that reason Microsoft try to not support it (because they are in competition with Apple).

If you have CD/DVD burner software on your PC that may come with a format convertor (Nero, Roxio or similar).

If not I am sure there are programs out there that can convert a MOV file to a MPEG format or similar.
