Feeling dead quarrelsome:)
39 Answers
Just the last couple of days there have been two threads on here that have really got up my nose, both of them posted by what I consider to be inconsiderate selfish people. One is about a poor guy whose coughing is annoying these people's tenants and the other is about some people with neighbours whose kids dare to play in their own garden during the summer ( the very cheek of it!).
Any of you ever seen threads that makes your blood boil over seemingly trivial things or am I just in a quarrelsome frame of mind?

you are wasting your time and anger with people who are looking for animals not from the rescue centres.
I could easily have been one of those posters some years ago.
I grew up having cats, taking in stray ones never having bought or sought one.
Afew years ago I was desperate for a cat and I tried every rescue centre, adoption centre, foster centre.. to be told I lived near a B road so therefore I couldn't have one.. simple as that. So I too had to search and bought a Bengal.
I have since taken in two abandonned kittens (now adults) from a few streets away, one of which was pregnant so before you judge people you should consider some facts. My cats are looked after very well, there is no danger present. There is no logical reason why the rspca & others couldn't have given me a rescue one.

this thread is about what angers people, and you have added your opinion. I was trying to make you see you are wasting your time being angry with the wrong people. Shouldn't you be angry with the rescue centres.
And as the topic is about making blood boil what angers me: people who judge and condemn others without the knowledge to do so. As you have.

Ladies, ladies,
Can you two at least agree that anybody who is caught or found guilty of abusing animals deserves to have acid thrown in their eyes and have their kneecaps smashed??
I am hoping the emotive nature of decent torture to the filth that treat animals like dirt, will bring us all together in unity and peace.
Death to animal abusers (incl. fox hunters, bull fighters, badger baiters and the like)

If a rescue centre advises that you can't have a cat whilst living near a B road then then they have good reason for it. I got my 2 cats from Battersea Cats & Dogs home. I wanted kittens but they did not allow me to have them as I live alone and would be at home during the day to look after. I accepted this as I thought they knew what they were talking about.
A friend of mine had several cats and lived near a B road. Sadly, one by one they were all killed on this road.

Humans are king of the jungle, top of the tree and head of the food chain.
Yes, we are animals, but how we diffre from animals is that we have compassion and an intelligence way above other species.
Therefore there is nothing wrong with killing animals for food, just as a cat kills a mouse or a lion and antelope.
But with our intelligence we should (and on the whole, do) treat animals with respect.
Therefore pointless and needless animal abuse and fox hunting etc. are barbaric and shameful. As are experiments for cosmetic purposes. I accept experiments for cancer and AIDS etc can be justified, but out and out abuse should result in the death penalty for the offenders.
And I have just bought some steak from the Tesco butchers. I eat meat, my body needs meat and I love meat. But would I abuse a cow??? Certainly not!!!
It is not a hard argument to understand is it?
