Anyone know
distance between lancaster and heysham ferry port. ?
are there buses or trains from lancaster ?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.There are very infrequent trains that take about half an hour (Like 2 a day - both around lunchtime - I would guess they coincide with the ferry but wouldn't be in the least surprised if they don't))
There are frequent buses.
The train station is at the port - I don't think the buses go all the way to it.

buses from Lancaster serve Combermere Road in Heysham, which is about 10-15mn walk from the port. See

As an aside, the rail journey planner shows a train at about 1630 from Lancaster to Heysham.
Look at the details though - you go to Wigan, then to Liverpool, then on the ferry to Douglas and another ferry back to Heysham, arriving next day.
You could walk it in that time.
