Whenever I turn my computer on after shutting it down at first it everythings normal then after about 15 seconds the resolution goes from 1280 x 960 to 800 x 600. This happens all the time even though I change it back. Does anyone know how I can get it to stay at 1280 x 960, or even why this is happening. Thanks.

and 15 seconds is the countdown time for settings to revert - when you change the settings ... are you confirming them?
need to know O/s, video card and monitor model
are you certain that the resolution you want is supported by your kit?
look in Display settings | advanced | monitor
it the hide modes ticked
what refresh rate is selected?
(60-65 is normal for a lcd ....70+ for a CRT)

I suspect I know what's going on
the spec says the card goes quite high
but the monitor looks to be a standard 17" screen ... which doesn't
the monitor best I can make out isn't a wide screen?? - but 1280x960 IS a wide screen resolution ... so while you can force the resolution - at reboot ... plug and play kicks in and goes back to the default
will it hold 1024x768?
