Hi everyone -I have had a great weekend -i'm sad kinda cos i had to say cheerio to my boy at the staion this afternoon and that always makes me maudlin -what am i like -he calls me the asteriotypical Jewish mum -it must be tough to be one of my kids -they just roll their eyes at me now -they didnt when they were teenagers tho lol

Good news is he back in 3wks for my brothers silver wedding -wa haay.

Learned how to play poker -and trounced him much to his disbelief -I only gave him the computer brains -not the cunning ones lol.

Weather is p!ss poor -whats all your weekends been like?

O watched Shawshank Redemption with R on Fri night -o man -brilliant- then we tuned into Rocky Balboa -that was brill -we didnt get to bed until 4am -ace -im greedy I want them to stay up 24/7 when I get them lol.

You and me both Drissy - My kids left this morning for Majorca with their dad - so I'm single and childless for 10 days. Found myself in the kitchen at 5 wondering what to make the kids for tea - how sad is that!!

Hate to tell ya hun -it doesnt get any easier -I feel like im torn in two when i have to let them go and R is 23 FFS -poor boy (man lol) He humours me -he thinks i'm funny -i dont lol
You feel lost -its like the empty nest syndrome -at least yours isnt for ever and ever and ever -see where im coming from lol
Try your hardest to make the most of the time you have -decorate a room if you can be bothered that is -or do something that the kids would normally get in the way of.x

One of the worst things is I'm jealous of my kids lives. Youngest is in Rhodes. Didn't tell me until the day before as he knew I,d not be happy (He's not 18 for 3 weeks) Older daughter is having a marvellous Gap year in Thailand Australia and now New Zealand, Don't know where she gets the nerve for Sky-diving and Canyon jumping, Not from me, thats for sure
