Tenant Complaints
If a tenant complains about you, do you have the right to know what it is? i.e can you find out from your housing association?

You have every right to know what the complaint is and to deny any allegations made against you, but due to confidentiality, the housing association is not at liberty to tell you who made the complaint. However, this doesnt stop you putting two and two together and working out who has made the complaint.
Hi ccfluff - yeah still have the same old crap! We only found out end of last week that our neighbour who is also ganging up on us, didn't want to pursue the complaint & that was that. Housing didn't even tell us what it was about!
Also last week the same neighbours sister who is about 13 made a nasty comment regarding my partners race, we were sitting on front door step & my partner was stroking next doors cat , the sister didn't like it & said to our neighbours from hell's son - I'm not going near that cat now, I'm gonna brush it off now! This went on for about 15mins which we recorded and logged with the police.
We let housing know but we're not sure if they will talk to the neighbour again! Its outragous!

All I'd advise you to do is to keep logging everything, report what you need to to the police and housing. Were still being harassed by our neighbours, but are now thinking about taking civil action against the housing association for failing to fully implement their policies, which has allowed their tenants to caused damage to our home.
To ccfluff - I think we might go down the same route as you as our housing association could have prevented all of this but yet there has been nothing but incident after incident!
I hope it goes well for you & I'll keep you updated.
To bednobs - we have only been here for 2 years and put a lot of effort into our home so the last thing we want is to move. To be honest we shouldn't be the one that should move and even if we did, what if we come across the same type of neighbours & endure the same stuff, do we move again?
