Renault Megan R Reg - Immobiliser Problem

Hi,

Has anyone with the same car experienced the following problem?

The immobiliser won't respond - changed the battery in the key-fob but still no response. There was a moment of intermittency, but is not completely unresponsive??

I'm so scared of massive costs to replaces UPS boxes or something along those lines... Any advice?

i would try another battery as ive changed them b4 & had faulty one's,if it still doesn't work try putting the key in & turn on the ignition then press the buttons a few times to see if that reprograme's it,otherwise you'll have to go to renault for investigation.
