Where do Pigeons go to die?

Not really sure where to post this question but it's been puzzling us round the office all afternoon.......

You see loads of pigeons every day round town but you never see any dead ones, and considering how many of the f'ing blighters there are, where do they all go?

Is there a giant pigeon grave somewhere?

fox's, stoats, weasels, cats, rats etc i dont think these animals are particularly picky what they eat

Did you know that a pigeon, when run over by a car goes *BANG* surprisingly loudly..............?

I didn't until a couple of weeks ago.........still makes me wince, thinking about it..............:o)

I was an innocent bystander............just out of splatter-range, thank God ! I thought a tyre had burst until I saw the feathers drifting slowly to the ground............

Monkeyeyes - I hit one a couple of years ago travelling rather fast. Apart from the fact it was like hitting a brick, I think I killed it, plucked it and grilled it all in one hit.

Thanks for all your comments guys - still not much clearer on where they all go - but your answers have made us all laugh during the last hr in the office!

dead pigeons, like any other bird, are cleaned up by natures scavengers, of which there are many,
rats, foxes, magpies , crows, etc , in nature nothing is wasted,
But I know you could now say who clears up the scavengers when they die,

We have so many raptors in this neck of the woods that any pigeon that falls off the mortal perch wouldn't even touch the ground!

Every now and then a pigeon decides to head butt my lorry windscreen.
