Do you put mint sauce on anything other that lamb??

And would it be frowned upon by high society if you asked for mint sauce, say, with roast beef or chicken in a top-notch eatery?

I'll eat it on beef but for some reason not on chicken ! Can't think why though.
No- but then I don't put it on lamb either, hate the stuff.

No- at least not by the staff at a high class restaurant, the staff should be sufficiently well trained not to raise even an eyebrow over the clients little foibles.
Love it on mushy peas!!!
I can't think of anything I'd use it for except lamb but if you're in a decent restaurant, if they have it then you should be able to have it as an accompaniment with whatever you chose.

I don't know why but when I see the word 'mint sauce' written down, my mouth waters uncontrollably. When I was pregnant I had to carry a jar round with me to sniff every few minutes. Weird lol

Oh yes, I agree MiniN.
I use mint sauce to make a cooling spiced onion relish with my curry!!!!
I have mint sauce on every type of of roast dinner. In fact every roast dinner I make (regardless of what meat is involved) we have mint sauce, yorkshire pud and stuffing with it. That's what my Mum always did, and that's what I've come to expect.
Christ, I'm dribbling now, with all this talk of roasts and mint sauce yummy
