my grandmother died four weeks ago, i am sure i am a benificiary of her will but have heard nothing from her solicitor. how long should i expect to wait, and is there any way i can request to see a copy of the will?

Are you sure the solicitor has the will, knows about the death and is acting as executor? Do you know who the executor is?
If the will has been found and used to get probate I think the will would be registered as part of the probate process, although that may take some time.
It won't do any harm to ask the solicitor what he/she can tell you

You can ask her solicitor, but he is under no obligation to provide any information at this stage even if you are a beneficiary.

4 weeks is nothing - I'd be surprised if you hear anything before 4 months to be honest.

Once the will has been through probate it's a public document - anyone can buy a copy of it from the Probate Office
