Does anyone know what rate of not guilty verdicts are reached in Crown Court?

You seem to be highly stressed about this Crown Court case in which you are involved with your ex, and I appreciate your state of mind at the present time. You have received several points of advice from several well-meaning people on this Site in recent times in relation to the assault upon you by your ex, and I really do think you are in dire need of some professional help by way of counselling.

There is such an Organisation called "Victim Support" wherever you may live and they should be the first people you ought to call upon. Face-to-face contact with these professional people will prove to be far better for you than merely "crying for help" to strangers on-line. I empathise most strongly with your current plight, but I don't think you are receiving the help you need in order to make you overcome your difficulties, so it will do no harm for you to try to make contact with Victim Support as a matter of some urgency.

To answer your query: there are no statistics which suggest that Not Guilty verdicts outweigh those of Guilty in the Crown Court in England & Wales. Furthermore, in this regard, your claim is that your ex assaulted you and caused you some physical injury. That amounts to a criminal offence, hence the forthcoming trial, and the law must take its course.

Thanks for your help I am having counselling but its not helping. In a previous post someone said its a lot easier to convince magistrates of guilt than 12 members of jury and recently NJ said there are many eventualities that can result in a not guilty verdict.

If he gets not guilty then he will be free to do things towards me with no restrictions like his bail conditions.

I just thought because the police had photos and charged him straight away the same day they would have an extremly strong case. I cant sleep for worrying about all this.

Not being a 'legal eagle' I'm not sure but I thought that you could get an injunction against him even if he is found not guilty.

Perhaps you should look into that if you are very worried.

Will have to speak to police about that at the moment he has very strict bail conditions.
