I have noticed a lot more hair than normal falling out. I read somewhere that this could be linked with not taking anough iron. Is there amy truth in this, and if so, what should I eat?

At the end of the summer your hair gets much thicker for the winter. I hope she wasn't taking the pee out of me as I have believed her up until writing this down and realising I am making myself sound like a pet.
I seem to "shed" every few years and spent weeks in the autumn of 2004 researching reasons. My hairdresser (in Spain where I live) told me it happened in the aubergine season! It has stopped, my hair is thinner but I have new growth so hopefully it'll thicken up against soon. I was told if it goes on for more than 6 weeks you should seek medical advice
