I saw some pictures recently in a magazine showing people sitting on the top of Beachy Head dangling their legs over the edge !! Some were just sitting reading, others were letting their kids run along the edge !
Are these people crazy or would you do it ??

I'll look them out and put them on here.
Jeebus I scream at my kids to come back when they have only run a few feet in front! I would have a bloody heart attack if they were running along side a cliff edge!!!!!
Bob I just about beat you.
didnt do well did we knobby? do you think we can ever regain our lost popularity?
Nooo I have a thing about edges which is bizarre as I used to do a lot of rock climbing and abseiling doesn't bother me at all though I am tied on :)

For some reason I hate standing near the edge of the platform on the tube when the train is coming in, have a wierd fear of going over the edge.
if you live in london you usually do jenna
It's a veeeeeeeeeeery long way down !!

Isn't that the suicide capital of the UK? Never been, but I may dangle my legs over the edge :o)
hmmm, I have been to beachy head, and did sit on the edge with my feet dangling over, wouldn't be happy bout kids playing and running by the edge though

and Jayne is right... it is a loooooong way down!!!

So what...people do what they want ..
my friend is a rescue guy at Beachy
Head ...and absails to lift the people
or body ....if people are so stupid to
let the children go near the edge ..
then they shouldn't be parents ....
I was brought up in Eastbourne and know of at least 2 people who have jumped to their deaths and although I visit every year, it terrifies me and I keep well away from the edge.
I live in Eastbourne and it never fails to shock me how little respect so many people show to the suroundings and potential danger up there while allowing children ( and to a large degree dogs off the lead ) to run around un supervised so close to the edge :-(
