I don't know the answer but I think it unlikely they would be worth less than the face value - otherwise you could just go out and spend them.
I got a quote for a Churchill crown...some 30 years old at the time and was told it was worth about 25p. Big waste of money if you ask me

yes i agree, something to do with because there is no value on them,
thanks
If they are current 5 coins you can spend them at face value. Might have a job persuading a shop that they are valid, but they are.

A crown is 5 shillings which IS 25p. A half crown is 2s 6d - ie 12.5p

Older ones - prior to decimalisation - have collector value only.
All pre-1990 commemorative Crown coins have and retain a face value of 25p. That is not to say that a coin collector will not pay more but since the 1980 coin had over 9 million minted and the 1977 coin over 37 million, perhaps the market does not justify any appreciable increase in the value of those coins.

Crowns minted from 1990 onwards have a face value of 5.
Glad someone here replied to a post about the 1965 churchill crown, I have 2 of these but 1 of them is gold in colour? it hasnt been sprayed or painted. Ive been in touch with a person who allegedly knows about coins, but he hasnt seen or heard of this one I have. The other 1 I have is the standard churchill one. All inscriptions, year etc are identical, Ive never seen it before, and was wondering if anyone else has? ive owned it for approx 30 years. anybody know about it or ideas? thanks
