How can I stop my cat from going to toilet in house???
Hi, I have 2 cats, 1 male and I think the other is female. The male was from a rescue centre and is very well behaved and the female was a stray we took in about 8 months ago. When we first took the stray in, she would use the cat flap to go out to toilet but then she had a run in with another stray cat and is frightened to go out (or so I think, this is the reason she refuses to go out). I have got a litter tray for her but she refuses to use it (have tried putting her in it, and also tried putting her number 2's in there) but she just ignores it. In fact now our male cat uses them both for himself! I have tried picking the female up and sitting with her outside until she goes, sometimes she will go to the toilet, others she just runs back inside. Recently I have put them both in the conservatory with food, litter trays etc so they can get outside in garden, but cant get in house when we are at work. But the female seems to wait until evening when we are home, and she secretly goes off to bathroom and keeps pooing and weeing on floor. I have to say that after months of her toileting everywhere in home, I am getting completely fed up of this now and wondered if anyone could help. I just want her to learn to go outside to the toilet!! AAAHHHHH!!
