Hi Answerbank,
We seem to have some bugs in the bathroom that are inbetween the shower glass and the manufacturers seal.
Does anyone know what these little blighters are and how we get rid of them?
Here's one we captured earlier lol.

Many thanks for your answer.
I have just been informed they are wood worm. The House Longhorn Beetle. The most destructive type.
We have just looked at packaging with skirting boards in delivered by Wickes and there they all are... millions of them.
We live in a very old house with 200 yr old beams.
We now have a major problem and exterminators will be called tomorrow.
I actually don't know how we go about proving Wickes delivered them though.... except we never had woodworm before, and have just had work done and the builders would have pointed them out I'm sure.

Hi John,
We've just spoken to Trading Standards and we have to get an independant surveyor to come and find the source and whether it is the wood from Wickes (who have said it's not their problem lol)
Sale of goods act 1979 says it is their problem if they have supplied wood worm to us.
I have to find the visa statement and when we bought the wood because I know I haven't kept the receipt as I wasn't expecting extra guests.
Many Thanks.

Tanorak!!!!!
Thank You.
Yes we do live right next door to the farmer, and he's just been muck spreading too! (phewey!). They farm corn and you're answer fits right in.
The sample we sent has come back negative as wood worm, so Trixie is probably right in bleaching them lol
The DIY store is virtually on top of the farm too so it figures that they were in the packaging of the wood.
Many many thanks All for your answers.
