Travelling to Borneo next week,doctor has already charged �12 for prescription for anti malaria tabs MALARONE, chemist is charging �75 FOR 25 tablets, does anyone know of a less expensive alternative?

Malarone is acknowledged to be expensive, but is supposed to have fewer bad side effects than other anti-malaria treatments. Have a look at the following link; it may give you some idea on cheaper alternatives - http://healthlink.mcw.edu/article/979237802.html

It's your life.Why take the risk by getting cheaper ones and possibly ruining trip with bad side effects.
Before I went to Borneo I was told to take Malarone however when I got there everyone (guides, doctor, hotel) said I didn't need them and we went on a 7 day trek.
