Bad paintwork on car

We got an 02 ford galaxy on finance last year second hand from a car sales place near where we live.Before we picked up the car the sales man said he would get some paint work done that i had spotted on the car.Paint chips,small scraches and a scrape along the bottom of the drivers door.Now the paint has started to rust and flake away on the door.I took it to a Ford dealer who checked the paint depth and it was not deep enough and water has got under the lacquer.The sales man has told me he will not do anything and i will have to repair this at my cost.We will have had the car 1 year on the 23 of this month.Any advice?
