Melting ice

How long would it take for a heart shaped block of ice 15cm x 15cm x 15cm to melt? Many thanks to all in anticipation.

You'll need to be more specific.

In your freezer it will last until your freezer breaks down or you have a prolonged power cut.

In your oven on Gas-mark 9 it would probably last a few minutes.

How long is a piece of string??

If you put it anywhere near my girlfriend it'll melt in no time, because that's what happened to my heart when I met her.

I'm assuming you wish to transport it to someone special. Freeze the Heart as cold as you can, turn the freezer to coldest setting.You could, when ready to move it,surround it with freezerblocks (the blue things you can get for picnics etc) and wrap the lot in a couple of dry towels to insulate it from heat. Keep it out of the Sun and away from heat as long as possible. Hope it's appreciated by the reciever :o)

That depends on the start temperature of the ice and the ambient temperature of the location. Assuming it would be on show not insulated in some way.
