Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

If possible, I would like a nudge in the right direction, just a clue, rather than the answer. I really enjoy struggling with the Where Was I? competition, but I have gone wrong somewhere!

I am stuck on clue 5 - a hamlet of 19 letters, birthplace in 1844 of a writer whose works include Fidelis.

And if I am right about the final clue, then I have a letter D which doesn't fit into what I think is the name of the river.

So if anyone is feeling generous and would like to give me just a teeny weeny little clue, I would be grateful!!

Thanks for that - really helpful.

It would also have been helpful if I had read the last clue properly - I took letters one and six instead of two and six, which is why I had an unwanted 'D' !!

I've solved the village and the river, but can't find the hamlet that "sounds like it holds down a chicken". If I'm right with the rest of the puzzle, the third letter should be U. Will send off my answers anyway, but out of curiosity would like to know the name of this hamlet if anyone would be kind enough to tell me.

The hamlet is Foul Anchor, about 3 miles SSE of Long Sutton.

Found it! It wasn't on the map I was using as it is quite a small place, but I have found it now on the OS Get-a-Map website - if anyone is interested the grid reference is TF465175.

It's not far from Tydd Gote. There are some weird and wonderful place names in that part of the world!

The prime minister is generally regarded as being the first to hold that title. The patron saint is more usually associated with a country closer to home. The hamlet that combines the 2 names lies due east from the hamlet of clue 3.
