Sherry Jones's publishers have said "they are too afraid to publish her novel"?
If this novel is published by some other publisher, would it be "a declaration of war" against Islam which would probably lead to terrorist attacks on Broadway (as quoted by Islamic studies scholar Denise Spellberg)?

I don't think it an attack on Islam in the same way that I did not see the Da Vinci Code as an attack on Christianity.
Professor Spellberg is also quoted as saying the book is: "ugly", "stupid" and "soft core pornography". I would have thought she would have had a better grasp of descriptive English myself.

Very difficult to judge this as we don't know what's actually in the book.
I mean, it could depict in cartoon form, Mohammed having sex with farmyard animals whilst wearing a two piece swimsuit.
There are certain areas that publishers won't go to because they have to have some regard to the safety of their staff, authors, drivers etc.
However, saying that - fear shouldn't be the governing reason behind why a book should or should not be published...it's a worrying precedent.
