I believe the song is a re-write of "The Banana Boat Song" (originally Harry Belafonte, 1957 ?)

Don't know who's singing this version but I suspect the cat is miming!

I think it was The Tarriers who did the original, though Harry Belafonte's version is probebly the more famous one.
