Are they the kind that if you scratch them they actually have hairs inside them, that have not managed to penetrate the outer layers of skin & have curled up just below the surface?

If so, taking vitamins E & B complex may help (it takes a few weeks for the effeect to show)  - they make the skin more elastic & allow the hairs to penetrate. Scrubbing with a loofah in the bath can help any kind of arm spots too. Good luck.

I know that this sounds awful but you could try metanium cream if you have small spots (but lots of them) then try this- put it on overnight and remember to wash it off in the morning! try it about 3 nights on the row and you will see a difference by then if it is going to work for you. You can buy it in supermarkets under the guise of nappy rash cream. The one I have is thick yellow and i put it on sparingly or my skin can't breath. I use it on my face and upper arnms and it works a treat (I just don't do it when my husband is here as it's not very flattering- he saw me with it on my chin one and it seemed to have the affect of really unsettling him !!!!)
I also reccomend thursady plantation tea tree soap you can get from holand and barret.
hope this helps Catra
I really swear by anything that has Evening Primrose in it,it does wonders for me!

I used to have this problem, and on the backs of my thighs and bum too.  I started exfoliating every day in the shower - just replaced my puff with those scratchy gloves from the body shop, pour on the shower gel and scrub all over, esp arms and legs.  After a few weeks of that, and using just regular vaseline IC body lotion, my skin was much much smoother, and cos it isn't really any more effort, they have stayed that way.

Exfoliating on a regular basis helps, but the main thing is to use some lotion containing sacylic acid which helps fight spots. Clinique's Anti Blemish Lotion is a good one for your problem. Hope this helps!

Yes the scrubbing of the spots stimulates the circulation to the area, and allows the blood to carry the toxins away. Excellent for all kinds of skin problems.

I have exactly the same problem!!! I am getting married next year and desperate to sort them out.  Exfoliating, moisturising - nothing works.  I read a problem page a few years back about someone who had the same thing and the response was that it was a medical condition and to go you your doctor.  Let me know if you have any success!
does it look a little like a rash and theyre not actual spots? if so i think alot of people suffer from this problem, my mum and brother have it particularly badly. i do suffer a little and found that on holiday last year they cleared up completely. it may have been a combination of constant moisturising with suntan and aftersun lotion, or just the sunnier climate. maybe trying a sunbed or even aftersun products? this is just a guess as they seemed to clear up my arms very well. i hope it helps if you decide to try it. xx
heya :)
ive also got the same problem so i use cocoa butter.
but make sure its a really thick one (usually in a tubfrom body shop or places like that)
its working very well so far & is better than what ive used before...vaseline,creams,exfoliating etc.
put it on really thick and leave to soak in
& you get to smell lush too!

goodluck!
