I can hardly wait for the Athletics next week.

I would rather be in the Olympic Stadium next week than anywhere, ever, anytime, desperately (hint there for any guys who have two tickets!!).

So if you could have been at any sporting event ever, where would you have been? For me it would be ...

1. Centre Court for the first Borg/McEnroe Wimbledon final.

2. The Olympic Stadium in 1972 - all week!

3. Athens in 2004 when Kelly Holmes won her second Gold medal (cos I was sitting at home crying, so I ought to have been there instead).

How about you?

Just saw your post now, JJ.
While I would'nt for a moment condone diving or any other dishonest tricks by footballers, etc, I'm afraid I find your attempt to equate that to athletes taking performance-enhancing substances to gain an advantage over honest, hard-working, dedicated (at least, I hope they are) athletes quite laughable, indeed.
I'll make a prediction right now that before these Olympics are over, we will be sick to death of hearing about found out drug cheats, underage competitors, and maybe even the occasional doped horse .

That's very particular, WhiteBear :-)

If you had a two weeks pass for the Olympics, you'd end up spending most of your time in the bar.

Oh, they were brilliant noknow.

It's just a shame that the 1980 games were overshadowed by the whole boycotting business, and then the Russians had a sulk for Los Angeles, blahdy blahdy blah.

Posted this in the wrong place a few mins ago.

Dunno, JJ. If you were watching Korbut in 1972, you must be cracking (creaking) on a bit by now.
D'ye know anything about Legend???
Question Author
I was only teeny in 1972, but I do remember Olga Korbut, and I remember Mark Spitz's picture being in newspapers and things.

Oh, sorry, Legend ...

He's Scottish, lives in Tenerife, runs an adult shop, and posts prolifically on AB.

And I kind of like him.

But you're the one who's going to have to give him a blow job, glasman, so I guess you'll get to know him.

I take back everything I said about you, JJ. If there's any horizontal jogging to be done, It'll be with you.

Sleep tight.
