yes i have seen kites in england and wales, but i would like to know if anybody has seen eagles in galloway. im going on holiday there and would like to know if i would spot any

If you have seen any large birds of prey, they are much more likely to be buzzards.
Theres one Golden Eagle in Cumbria. At Haweswater. There were 2 but the female died a few years ago aged 20 plus I think and the male has been hanging round waiting for a female ever since. Poor old bu99er. He still displays every spring trying to attract one. I went and saw him 2 years ago from the rspb viewing area and he sat on a tree branch for 2 hours.
