Burns
5 Answers
What should I do, with a burn on my face? Caught it on an oven tray at the weekend, couldn't see to check the food was cooked, very high oven shelf, and hit my face on the edge of the tray. I haven't put anything on it, apart from cold compress when i did it, have also tried to keep it dry, very difficult! But its just really stinging now and feel so awkward about people seeing it and so afraid of it scarring. Do I need to get it seen to by a doctor

from what you say, it doesnt seem too serious, but then again I can't see it and i'm not a doctor.
if your worried that it may be a serious burn, then go see your local nurse/gp immediately.
keep it dry and keep it clean - especially if the blister has broken - broken blisters are prone to infections on burns. try not to aggravate the skin by touching the burn or the skin around it either. if you have long hair, keep your hair tied back to it does not irritate and spread bacteria to the blister.
