furry tongue

i have a yellow furred tongue combined with a taste in my mouth. Other symptoms are feeling sick in the morning ( no i am not pregnant) any ideas?

You may have a viral infection. Go to your GP tomorrow morning.

Try brushing it regular with your toothbrush, although if its thrush or something like that it could make it worse!!!, try warm salt rinses as well, as if its an infection it will help to clear it

U don't sound well at all.......get a sick note from the doc 2moro.....book yourself a 2week holiday in the sun (on docs sick note) return with suitcases full of cigs to smoke.....get another yellow/furred toungue and do it all again, and again, and again.

You sleep with your mouth open, breathing through your mouth instead of your nose.

This dries the saliva that is necessary to keeping your mouth healthy. The yellow fur is the bacteria that results from a dry mouth. This causes the nasty taste.

A good scrub of mouth, gums, inner cheeks and tongue and a rinse with mouthwash will see you ticketyboo.

You don't need to see the GP for this - it is perfectly normal

Furry tongue is never NORMAL. There are a multitude of causes and the treatment depends upon the caused. See your GP

First class joggerjayne, but I think I'd rather stick with the
furry tongue! I'm getting quite attached to it now. Anyway
it may have it's advantages, like getting velcroed to a
dishy fella, with the same complaint. Cheers all.
