I have got a 1992 rover 216, it often refuses to start, usually it is after it has been in use, I might turn it off for a few mins and go in a shop and it won't start again. If i leave it for a while and with a bit of luck it usually starts.
Does anyone have any ideas why this happens or how to correct it?
might also be a problem with the coolant temperature sensor, this tells the ecu how hot/cold the engine is and then decides how much fuel is needed to start the engine. if it is reading the engine is cold then it will obviously direct more fuel in and flood it and hamper your efforts to start it
