Having read many insurance postings involving rta's where the person posting "was not to blame" or as often stated "it was the other drivers fault". Wouldn't it be interesting reading to have a special section for the other 50% of drivers who were to blame and whose fault the accident was?
and me The irony is, the accident (a rear shunt) was caused because I was distracted by a kid I thought was going to run in the road. and I was so busy watching him I hadn't noticed the car way up in front had actually stopped.
Me too. Hit a parked car 'cos I was looking at some stupid balloons that someone had tied to a gate. I was thinking "oh they must be having a party" Silly cow, ended up in hospital never mind a party.
During my career working for an insurance company, much of it dealing with motor insurance, claim forms included a question, 'Who in your opinion was to blame?'
Most were answered blaming the other driver, rarely an admission of guilt and a fair number where the question wasn't answered at all. It was believed that silence was a tacit admission of responsibility.
