Bleach on a tee shirt
6 Answers
I didn't know where else to put this so I hope I'm in the right place for anyone to help me. I've just splashed bleach onto my favourite pale blue tee shirt. My question is ... if I try to dye it a darker colour will the white bleach spots stay lighter than the rest of the material or will it cover evenly. Thank you.

Sadly, puddicat is right as i too have done exactly what youdid and splashed some bleach on a dark blue sweatshirt. (My son's favourite , of course.) I did try to dye it but it didn't work. The dye didn't take very well where the bleach was , so I now have a dark blue sweatshirt splashed with lighter blue. You can get products which are supposed to take all of the colour out material so you can dye it properly, but I was so fed up with all the palaver of trying to dye the sweatshirt and failing that I couldn't be bothered trying it. Maybe someone else knows about these products and could advise.
