Hi there,

I need to buy the most BASIC Stroller going. More importantly it needs to be lightweight!!

We;re going to Greece for a couple of weeks, so need a handy little runabout for our 13 month old daughter.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

really really really basic ones start at about 20 in argos and mothercare but to be honest Id have thought you need to be looking for something that can recline for when she goes to sleep. One with a basket too perhaps?

oh and a legrest may be wise if shes going to be sleeping in it/

Many recommend the Maclarens, i think the quest is a good one according to pram boards. this one is on offfer at mothercare at mo (thy do other colourways at other prices)http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product/B0011362A W/sr=1-2/qid=1218390245/ref=sr_1_2/026-4750200 -0446039?ie=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=56386031&m cb=core
some argos stores may have this mamu buggy in store still, thats only 45 http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumb er/3760725/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7CNursery%7C1 0199769/c_2/2%7Ccat_10199769%7CClearance+nurse ry%7C10244452.htm

Thanks red. we actually have the Quest - it's what we use daily, but looking something even more basic!

Guy in Mothercare suggested teh MClaren Volo - which weighs around 4kg but it's 65...and not sure how much we're going to use it after.

Other option was something called UPPAbaby G lite Stroller, which is only available in America - about 50 again but it's super lightweight....
hi, have you looked at the quinny zapp??
my friend has got one and she swears by it! i have the quinny buzz buggy and i love it, its so easy to use and even my one folds up small!
im not sure how much they retail for but i have seen them in many shops mothercare, babys r u, argos etc or even look on ebay ive seen them go for 20.
hope that helps
lisa
the zapp is great, small and fairly light but it doesnt recline and doesnt have a basket.

The Volo doesnt recline either so Id try and get more for 65 than that

Hauck sprint (Ive got a hauck, not sprint and its quite good)

quinny zapp weighs 6kg - ive seen some buggy's at 4kg so its just a little too heavy. Weight is our priority asd we'll be carrying around a lot.
try this on ebay, my daughter got one for the same reason as you and the pushchair is fantastic, and perfect for holiday

sorry meant to say go to the 4.99 + postage and packing, ones brilliant value
Hi Nat, I have a very basic stroller for sale, It doesnt recline or have swivvel wheels but it is very light. We bought it for the same reason. I am asking 10 for it, we only used it for a week. We live in the Watford area if you are interested please reply and i will give you contact details. If this is not what you are after then look on the Argos web site, we bought one that has swivvel wheels and reclines for 29.
Good luck !

Hi Gina, you're link came up with a list of different buggies?

Thanks Marion but my mum has decided to buy the McClaren Volo. The guy in Mothercare suggested it and my mum decided she wanted a buggy at her place anyway (save us lugging ours over to hers everytime she looks after the little one!!), so it will be for long term use as well as the holiday!

Thanks everyone for your advice x
