I don't like dating!

Just got back from my blind date. He was a nice chap but I wasn't attracted to him and don't think we have much in common, we like same type of music and films but he is really into sport and I'm so not into sport at all.
We went to a golf driving range and had to hit golf balls at the targets. It was awful, I couldn't hit the ball very far and twice I missed the ball - I laughed it off and it was funny for a while but after 120 balls and not improving was slightly embarrassing :S Then we went for a few drinks.
I feel like a failure - he made most of the conversation and I couldn't think of anything to say really. :(
When he dropped me home he said we should do it again sometime and I said yeah I would text him but I don't think I want to do it again sometime :(

He was very nice though. I was out with some of my friends, and he was there with some of his. He said it was obvious which ones we were cos we were so loud and so p*ssed.
But it is a bit unnerving, cos it shows that you never know who's watching us on here.

Funny you should say that Jayne. years ago, I used commute on the train to London. One night getting off the train, I was walking in front of two lads talking about the affair one of them was having. That night I logged on to the dating site I had joined and one of these men contacted me - I recognised the photo immediately. I spent ages winding the bu99er up about this "affair". he was totally freaked, but it was just a mad coincidence. I did let on how I knew eventually. He bought me a coffee the next morning and thereafter for the remainder of my commuting days he was really sweet to me.
Just searched for his name, and here's a thread that Winebuyer posted on.
When you've got a mo, I'll tell you the funny story of how ...
- he invited me to a wine tasting
- I told my friends I had a business meeting, and bunked off work, and went to the wine tasting
- I drove there
- I got p*ssed and had to abandon my car
- the only wat I could get my car back was by confessing to a friend that I'd lied about being at a meeting, and she went to get my car for me
- by that evening, everybody I knew had heard about me skiving off work, and I've still not lived it down
