IE6 Cannot open links

Please can anybody help?

All of a sudden clicking a link on IE does not open the page or image it points too. I can right-click copy the link and paste it in the address bar and that's fine.

Please any ideas? No Trojans. Viruses nor Spyware on my system....Am I missing the obvious?

Did try searching past answers on here...But Hmmm I cannot open the page by the links!!

1. Quit all programs that are running.
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
3. Type regsvr32 urlmon.dll, and then click OK.
4. When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded" message, click OK.

Or try this:

Open Internet Explorer
Go to Tools / Internet Options
Click on the Programs tab
Click on the Reset Web Settings button

This will rest all IE6 settings to defaults.

Tried both Kerplunk and still no joy..Thanks though for your help.

Also I did allow pop-ups thinking that may be the fault but that wasn't it either.

I had this problem ages ago but since then i formatted everything, so cant help there but you could always use a different browser, i reccomend mozilla firefox or netscape navigator, both free!! (www.getfirefox.com)

Have you tried going into the Control panel , add/remove programmes - there is an option there to repair Internet explorer , or alternatively remove and reinstall IE, this may solve the problem.
