When someone is in a mood, they're not able to see that they're at fault, and they tend to blame everyone else for things not being exactly the way they want them.
All you can do in that situation is give them the space to get over it. Don't antagonise them or argue, just let them be. They'll get over it!
Because what ever age yoiu are, you are always a 'child' to your parents.
In our children, we often see aspects of ourselves writ large that we don't really like, so it's easy to deflect the problem onto you, and make it your fault. Our eldest daughter is thirty, and she can still wind her mum and I up just by breathing in and out! It's part of family life - it never changes, you may well do the same with your children - if indeed you don't already! We all do it, it makes us human. make sure you pile on the love when everyone calms down.
