Do these things work, are they any good? Are there any that don't just work from a list that you send them? Thanks.
Looks like a brill business model...how many users would just stop sending them back?

He goes online and makes a list of every film he wants to see, from the massive selection available.
They send three at a time out, he watches them, and then sends them back in a prepaid envelope provided. Its a really neat system. As soon as they reciieve them, they send out the next lot. It is really speedy and they normally arrive within 3 days.
I dont think it would be worth stealing - for starters they have your credit card to bill you each month, or a direct debit with your bank details. Secondly they only send out three at a time so its not worth it. Thirdly they are sent not in a DVD box, but in a small plastic disc sized case, so selling on would be a problem.
Overall, its a great system if you like films!

Have tried blockbusters - very good service
Tried the Tesco rental - pretty naff to be honest - you can tell who has experience in this matter.
Both these companies offer free trials.
You can also try www.screenselect.co.uk they offer a similar service - haven't tried them yet - will wait until some more titles come out that I wish to rent then do their free trial for 3 weeks.
When I say naf - I mean that when using their free trial, one of the films I requested was AI. I got the 'special bonus dvd' but never received the actual film dvd before the trial finished.
They also let you have 3 dvds at a time, counting one of those as the special bonus one.
Blockbuster (in their free trial) sent through the two dvds (film and extras) in one case and counted it as one choice.
Hence, I felt Blockbusters had the superior service.
