Telegraph Pole
Is it acceptable to extend a wooden chalet to such an extent that a telegraph pole is sticking through the roof? An owner of a chalet on a site where i own one has done just so. I cannot believe that this is acceptable but no one seems to want to do anything about it.

So it's not a telegraph pole - it's an electricity pole.
If it's part of a supply run by a utility to your (and others) chalet, then tell the local regional electricity supply company about it. They won't be able to maintain it like that.
More likely, if it is on a privately run site, the site owner is responsible for the electrical installation. If he's happy, it's up to him.
